How Do Flush Fitted Parking Sensors Work.
Dolphin Flush Fit Roof Display Parking Sensors work by emitting ultrasonic beams, which cover the area behind your vehicle. Each sensor emits a 60 degree cone shaped beam. When they hit an obstacle, the beams are reflected and processed by the sensor. The sensor is then able to calculate the distance of the obstacle based on the time taken for the beam to return.
The Flush Mount Parking Sensors are wired into the reverse light of the vehicle. This means the sensors will turn on when you go into reverse gear. The maximum distance the sensors will pick up is 1.5m. When you get closer to the obstacle, the audible beeps get progressively quicker until you are within 30cm of the obstacle. The tone will then become solid and unbroken.
